Dr Walter Fernandes

Manoj,
This is an astounding way of justifying the caste system that forces Dalits
into manual scavenging among many other occupations which others would not
accept. It is not a question of a machine but of our mind that refuses to see
injustice that forces Dalits to do such work. You may clean your own toilets
but would you do it for others as a livelihood?

Dear Mr. Sainath,
I think you have bit misunderstood the caste-biased India. To safeguard the
tortures on the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes sufficient laws are there
but in spite of that the tortures go on and on even after the six decades of
our national independence. The upper caste people cannot forget their statuary
heritage they have received from the days of Manu. I think youm will agree with
me.------Manohar Mouli Biswas.

Dear All, A new Bill puts in peril reservation for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. This is quite shocking to know that present government has done this. We should express our objection in the strongest possible way. The very essence of the Indian democracy is to provide opportunity to marginalised and deprived to participate in the decision and development of country . The provision of reservations is not the privilege to ST & SCs, this is their right ensured by generation involved in the independence struggle.
Regards.
