  thank you for your comments and viewpoint on 
  jaxb2 and jibx2.  i can see that jibx and jaxb
  are still very different beasts.  there may be
  more overlap in v2 but the differences are still
  significant.

  i most enjoyed the two articles you referenced.  
  most articles i read on generics are fairly 
  superficial and don't usually go as deep as yours:
  by discussion how to actually introspect the
  generic type information.

  your article on annotations [vs config files]
  makes one thing clear:  that annotations are not 
  necessarily an improvement over jibx's existing 
  mechanism for specifying an o/x mapping.  i still 
  like the idea of using a jibx namespace to annotate
  an xml schema definition, specifically a relaxng
  definition.

  i personally really enjoy more general types of 
  discussions on xml data binding.  the majority of
  the threads on the mailing list pertain to specific
  jibx issues.  i believe such discussions can be 
  a great source of creativity and ideas, and hope to
  see more of them on the list in the months to come.
