Yes, and I hope to be putting that research to practical use soon...

your article on annotations [vs config files]
makes one thing clear: that annotations are not necessarily an improvement over jibx's existing mechanism for specifying an o/x mapping. i still like the idea of using a jibx namespace to annotate
an xml schema definition, specifically a relaxng
 definition.
I think the next version of the tools (code->binding, code+binding->schema, schema->code+binding) will have some good hooks for supporting this sort of thing, and will be well enough documented to allow you to do it. So if you've got an itch in this area, you'll soon be able to scratch it... ;-) Likewise on the whole idea of RNG support - the new code generation from schema should serve as a good basis for building an RNG version, and if you're motivated to do this I can certainly provide support in the form of advise and pointers..

i personally really enjoy more general types of discussions on xml data binding. the majority of
the threads on the mailing list pertain to specific
jibx issues. i believe such discussions can be a great source of creativity and ideas, and hope to
see more of them on the list in the months to come.
Sure, general discussions on data binding are great here. The more ideas get tossed around the better.
