It s great to hear that you have opened a jira case for it. However, this is
really importnat for my project right now. Is there any way you can fix it
for the very next release or at least tell me what to change in the source
code to fix it myselfd.

That's a good point. CodeGen currently ignores the xs:nillable attribute,
when it should be setting it for you in the binding. I've created a Jira

I'm not sure when I'll get this fixed. I'm trying to release 1.2.3 now, so
it probably won't be until after that.
