Hi @dajac, I didn't aware the edge case like group coordinator is offline.
Thanks for the comment. I will update the KIP to describe the hash approach
like this PR implement and also think about a new epoch in topic metadata
image. After we have these two approaches on the KIP, we can have further
discussion in email thread. Thanks.
