@chrisla
Yes, it does have mouse support. It is just that the UI controls are a
little small (e.g. scrollbar on the right) to hit reliably and not
optimized yet for mouse control, I hope the UI is changed soon to what
is shown shown in some mockups in the wiki. Audio playback (flac and
mp3) worked fine on Arch Linux when I tested it, I didn't test
extensively though. I noticed that compiling the flac examples on Arch
Linux always fails (I simply adjust the makefile to not compile them),
while I have no problems compiling them on my Kubuntu box.
@rtitmuss
How high on the priority list are UI changes (e.g. such that keyboard
doesn't have to be used at all)? Any plans to make the font size
adjustable or the menu structure even more flexible than it is now
(like changing the position of an item in a list)? And how about taking
in account touch screens? Choosing between single and double click mode
would be nice. Another thing, could it be made possible to adjust the
time the 'Now playing' screen kicks in or to disable that completely?
Or is that already possible? This behaviour is a nuisance when browsing
the collection.
And how can I help (with testing), what is needed?

Bye, signor_rossi.

P.S.
I must admit that I use Squeezeplay on my Nokia770 over VNC (SP
actually runs on my Squeezecenter server box) to control my Squeezebox
and that works quite well already (with black background color and in
landscape mode such that text mostly doesn't have to scroll). I would
understand if Squeezeplay will not include functionality that harms
Controller sales.
