hmmm...interesting. Since you can reproduce it with the "real" sleep and not the forced sleep, this tells me that the controller is probably remembering that it's screen was dimmed when it went to sleep, and so thus (incorrectly) dims as soon as it comes out of sleep. With the forced sleep, it hadn't hit the screen dim timer at the time of sleep, so it doesn't attempt to dim as it comes out of sleep. There's definitely a bug here, but nailing down the specifics is a bit tricky. One last thing for you to try if you're game-- set Settings->Screen->Screen Dimming to "Never" and then watch it's behavior coming out of a "real" sleep. FYI, you can manipulate the sleep timeout in Settings->Advanced->Factory Test->Power Management if you want it to go to sleep a bit quicker than default. cheers, #!/ben -- bklaas Logitech Developer: Squeezeplay/SqueezeOS/SqueezeboxController/SqueezeCenter Community Developer: Nokia770Skin http://www.last.fm/user/bklaas/ 'KHAAAN!'
