The only way I've found to fix this is to run the squeezeplay.sh script from /opt/squeezeplay/bin, which is were I extracted the tgz file created from the build. When I do, I can use squeezeplay as a player, otherwise, it's strictly a controller. If squeezeplay is hanging at the *continue* screen trying to connect to SBS, try commenting out this line in the Makefile.linux and rebuilt.
