I doubt that would be interesting for them.
>From what I see, they are currently mainly limited on engineering
ressources and their business is selling hardware.
I've been working for companies like that before, don't expect them to
do anything that doesn't sell them hardware but requires any
engineering.

Assuming that they can get away with hosting a build of their own
software on their own site and not having eventually provide engineering
support looks a bit naive to me at least at first glance. Maybe the way
to achieve this is exactly to find a way to make sure this works.

Allowing a redistribution by 3rd parties of SqueezePlay builds may be a
non-starter as long as mp3 or other licensed stuff is included, they
simply can't do this.

So is there a way around this? I believe stripping out the essential
parts (playback) and finding other solutions for this but this will
require
a) development effort, which could, of course be handled by 3rd parties
b) a licensed or license free solution for mp3-playback. License-free
will probably not work so is there licenced, 3rd party mp3 playback on
WinMobile that can be used? E.g. from Microsoft?
