I'd look at this thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80844 I've taken that skin and modified it to be fullscreen on my laptop (1280x800), so it should be possible to do the same for 1920x1080. Just make certain your cover images are of sufficient quality ;)
