Hi Robin- Linux Squeezeplay is notoriously horrible for audio. My head isn't totally around the problem, and I've had a few back and forths with the always-uber-knowledgeable Triode about this as well. For me, what worked was to fully remove pulseaudio from my system. This stinks IMO (and broke XBMC on my netbook, which was sacrilege), but it was the only thing I did that worked.
Rumor has it that a minor change in an alsa.conf file will fix in a similar fashion, but I had no luck with that. There are a couple blog postings out there on the net that have tried some other methods of fixing pulseaudio wrt squeezeplay (e.g., installing an older version of pulseaudio). YMMV, but I didn't have success with them. I'm on Ubuntu, but I think the Fedora 14 problem is likely no different. cheers, #!/ben -- bklaas Logitech Developer: Squeezeplay/SqueezeOS/SqueezeboxController/SqueezeCenter Community Developer: Nokia770Skin http://www.last.fm/user/bklaas/ 'KHAAAN!'
