Many thanks!! It worked for me on 64-bit Ubuntu 10.10, squeezeplay 7.6.0-9405. However I also: * upgraded to portaudio pa_stable_v19_20071207 * commented out the pulse line in /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf as per the attached. I'm not quite sure whether both of these are required in addition to you patch.
