This occurred in response to the "center atomno=1" command. If you had instead "set picking center" and then clicked on atom 1, then there would be no scaling change. I should have said "scaled to fit the screen at a zoom of 100." OK, I see this.  So - to eliminate automatic jumping around stimulated by centering, one has to turn OFF both windowCentered and perpectiveDepth. OK. BTW, there is a jump when you issue reset center all why does "center all" differ from the centering in "reset"?
