For those interested in the latest in what is possible with Jmol, I've started a page that will continue to highlight what the experimental prototype "Jmol 10.x" can do:

http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/proto/new.htm

The prototype jar files as well as the accompanying Jmol-new.js are all in that directory for easy downloading:

http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/proto/

If you download just JmolAppletProto.jar and Jmol-new.js, then that's all you need as long as you use the initialization call:

 jmolInitialize(".","JmolAppletProto.jar")

which instructs Java to use the single prototype file JmolAppletProto.jar rather than the JmolApplet[0-6].jar files. In this way, you can use the prototype without worrying about removing the version 10.2 files. Just use the standard

 jmolInitialize(".")

if you want to compare results with 10.2.
