Hi,

>Well, what an INTERESTING site. Whatever is it???
OK. I owe you a short explanation :
I m a CRYSTAL software user (see www.crystal.unito.it ).
This ab initio code is able to calculate the vibration modes of crystals.
It is not possible to describe easily all the modes in a paper, so I used Jmol
to create animations of the modes on the web (see
http://www.crystal.unito.it/prtfreq/jmol.html ).

I m using a non-crystal file format (like cif) because (to my knowledge), no
one allows vibration modes.
=>I m using the simple XYZ format.

Is it a bad idea?

This time, I want to compare 3 systems that have very similar structures. => 3
Jmol applets.
You have visited a "work in progress" page (no title, no authors...) that will
be added to the others later.

I m new in html/javascript/java, so please, do not be severe if you read the
sources of my pages.

I m also creating a sort of "crystal editor for XYZ file" with Jmol.

Thanks a lot for all your emails and especially for the
http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/ : A mine of ideas!

I have a ton of questions but I don t want to flood everybody with very
specific problems.
(even if it may help someone)

thanks Bob, for your very direct method.

Bye

Yves
