Be advised that the following code is not recommended:
function messageProcess(a,b){
a = a.substring("jmolApplet".length)
...
The variable "a" returned to JavaScript is not a JavaScript string; it
is a Java string.
You should always handle this by immediately reassigning the value to a
JavaScript string:
function messageProcess(a_,b){
var a = "" + a_
a = a.substring("jmolApplet".length)
...
or, perhaps in this case:
function messageProcess(app,b){
var a = ("" + app).replace(/jmolApplet/,"")
...
