I didn't observe any different behaviour of the simple page "http://moleculesinmotion.com/test/containerSimple.htm"; in Firefox 1.5.0.12 and IE 7.0.5730.11. The applet loads in both cases and is resized when the window is resized. By the way, 2 of the 3 error messages are still shown in the simple page.
