I'm using the state feature often to save the state of a Jmol applet and later recall it.
I just now encountered a problem that I haven't been able to figure out and would like to ask for some help in doing so. The problem is as follows: If you load the PDB file "1xjo.pdb" (available here http:// ispc.weizmann.ac.il/oca-bin/save-pdb?id=1xjo) into Jmol and get the state and save it somewhere (can use your clipboard for this), Then you alter the Jmol applet by maybe changing the view and changing the color of all atoms to black just to make a simple visible change. Now use the saved state command to attempt to restore the state. Does it work for you?
