What do you mean when you say "graphing capabilities"? To me, it sounds like this would be something Sage would be extremely interested in. Are you talking about making it easier to use Sage to do 3d plots of functions? 2d plots of functions? If so, I think we already have some input on some things to make it easier to work with jmol to do graphing. Already, we can use jmol for 2d plots (embedded in 3d), though I think we draw the curves ourselves. See http://sagenb.org/home/pub/517/ for examples. I know we have looked at 2d plotting packages recently for doing things in javascript using the canvas element. Some people have been experimenting with flot, for example (http://code.google.com/p/flot/). We've also proposed an html5 backend to matplotlib, similar to http://skuld.bmsc.washington.edu/~merritt/gnuplot/canvas_demos/ , though I don't think anyone is working on it.
