Hmm. I think there was a bit of code done on this, but it wasn't developed.
I have no real idea how a Java plug-in works; I guess you mean additions to
the application itself, not the applet. There is a basic API that includes
substantial callbacks, but not an official Java plug-in idea - that, for
example, would add new features to the menus. (There is a macro plug-in, but
that's not really what you are talking about, I think.
