I have mixed feelings about this, hesitating between two options :

   - As Angel said, keeping the monolithic applet big can help force people
   to move to the split applet.
   - Modifying the way the monolithic applet works by removing the
   translations from it, but allowing to have translations in separate jar
   files (as for the split applet)
