I have not worked with Safari on Windows 7, so I cannot speak to it.   It does 
work on the mac side.

An update on Firefox -- beta 3 does not throw the Java exception, but if you 
have two applets on the page, buttons do not work.   The buttons are not 
intended to control the applet (except for reloading) and are not incorporated 
via Jmol.js.   (Old programs)
