Dear List,
the Java 7 Launch is coming soon and we noticed some problems with Jmol on
our Linux test server. Firefox vanished within milliseconds, or - if the
java console is activated - deep-freezes until we kill the java plugin.

The error console is very tight-lipped:

/usr/lib/firefox-3.6.18/firefox-bin: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-sun/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so: undefined
symbol: _stricmp

Does anybody has a clue what is going on there?

Thx in advance
~eike

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
