I'm definitely interested as this is part of what I was working towards for the 
Sagemath stuff.  Thanks for this.  

The last part I would need is to leave behind an image generated by the Jmol 
applet or JSmol, while relocating the Jmol applet or JSmol to a different div 
and having it load something else.

I may get a little time to look at this tomorrow, but probably not until this 
weekend.
