Great!  It is common nowadays for IRC files to have 200+ frames (I have seen 
500), so any chance in the future of ranges, thus  

animation  frame [149-51 1-50] 

I presume then that palindrome will apply to the order specified in the above. 
This only arises because eg  Gaussian writes them out in this odd order!
