MOUSE

The disappearance has something to do with
rotation by mouse. I can zoom just fine with
mouse. Rotation commands into the Console, e.g.
'rotate y 90' work just fine, as does 'spin on'.
But the moment (or soon after) you start rotating
with the mouse, caffeine disappears.

I can load 1d66 or 7ahl and they also disappear
after a bit more rotation than needed to make caffeine disappear.

MAC SAFARI ERROR CONSOLE

In Safari, opening the Error Console/Web
Inspector (Develop Menu, enabled in Safari
Preferences, Advanced, checkbox at bottom) makes
rotation jerky. When you close the Error Console,
rotation immediately speeds up and becomes smooth
again. Opening the Error Console and getting the
jerky rotation postpones the disappearance.

No error messages appear in the Safari Error
Console/Web Inspector during disappearance.

By the way I'm running Mac OS 10.9.2 also, just
lost track thinking it was still 10.9.1.

MAC FIREFOX

I still see the disappearance in Firefox on OS
10.9.2. Opening Tools, Web Developer, Browser
Console has no effect on smoothness of rotation.
No error appears there during disappearance.

WINDOWS CHROME

I DO SEE THE DISAPPEARANCE in Windows 7 Chrome
("up to date")! Saw caffeine vaporize in 3 tests,
including after one reload and one browser restart.

WINDOWS FIREFOX

I confirm that the disappearance does not happen
in Win7 Firefox ("up to date") with caffeine, 1d66.

INTERNET EXPLORER 11 (latest update)

Rotation of caffeine is jerky in Internet
Explorer (and its javascript is too slow in
general for use with JSmol). However, I did not
see caffeine disappear with lots of rotation.
