În 2003, International House World Organisation (IHWO) a împlinit 50 de ani de existenþã: 50 de ani de la conceperea primului curs de tehnici de predare din lume, destinat profesorilor de englezã. 50 de ani de la crearea standardelor în domeniul predãrii limbilor strãine, în general, ºi a limbii engleze, în particular. Pe piaþa româneascã, International House existã din 2001 cand a preluat firma Rom Communicate, existentã din 1998. În acest moment International House oferã cursuri de limbi strãine atât companiilor, cât ºi tuturor persoanelor fizice dornice sa-si imbunatateasca cunostinele de limba.

Part-time help needed for an interesting translation project! (English, Francais, Romana)
This is a test-based recruitment process, therefore CVs will not be considered. Before following the link to the assessment test, applicants should read the profile below and be realistic on whether it describes them or not.
The members of the team working on this project should exercise understanding of the difference between merely translating words and rendering meaning in another language. Confident knowledge of English or French is required, but the ideal candidates can also write eloquent and coherent Romanian that can be put in print. Those who know that they read the whole sentence and understand it before starting to translate are encouraged to apply. Another sought-after quality is actually using a dictionary when in doubt. While formal authorisations and diplomas are not required at this point in time, previous experience translating formal documents is desirable.
In order to be able to complete assignments, a project team member will have to be comfortable emailing attachments, downloading files , working with .rtf and .zip files and will have access to email and the internet on a daily basis for 15 minutes; this does not require a permanent connection. Confidence using a word processing application would be a great asset. This is mostly a telecommuting job and therefore team members can work from anywhere, however they may occasionally need to travel to Bucharest in some cases.
