Job description:
1. Assisting in the designing, coding, installing and maintaining web
applications.
2. Assisting in the assisting in setting of technical direction and determining
specific technical tools and languages used.
3. Assisting in the analyzing business specifications for implementation of new
applications and existing application enhancements and compatibility with other
systems and existing functionality.
4. Assisting in the assisting in researching and resolving client issues and
problems.
5. Assisting in the creating technical specifications for new applications and
existing application enhancements.
6. Assisting in the full unit level testing of all new applications and
existing application enhancements.
7. Assisting the system analysts in all phases of the testing cycle.
8. Assisting in the migration of new applications and existing application
enhances to live web environment.
9. Assisting the system analysts in training users on the use of business
applications and process.
10. Assisting in the design, coding, and installation of data base management
systems.
11. Assisting the system analysts in developing technical skills.
12. Assisting in the technical evaluation of package software and technical
support for vender management.
Core Responsibilities:
*Support and enhance existing applications developed in Coldfusion and some
.Net technology.
*Assist in improving the functionality and usability of our portfolio.
*Assist in implementing improvements to make our applications easier to
maintain and higher quality.
*Analyze business requirements, create detail designs, develop, and test
software.
*Assist in the design of supporting data structures and stored procedures (SQL
Server) for new applications.
*Support, maintain and enhance existing data structures and stored procedures
for existing applications.
*Extend & enhance our web based central applications portal & front-end
*Provide developer/level 3 support for our in-house developed and package
applications.
*Support, administer, and configure package applications.
*Improve package applications by delivering detailed specifications to the
vendor and managing the development, testing, and implementation of those
applications.
Required Skills:
*2-4 years of software development experience/knowledge/training.
*3-5 years of web application development experience/knowledge/training.
*2+ years of .Net or Cold Fusion development experience/knowledge/training.
*1+ year of server skills with SQL and stored procedures
experience/knowledge/training.
*Ability to work independently with some management oversight.
*Ability to multi-task.
*Good communications skills.
*Desired to learn business functionality.

*Experience with development insurance applications
