UltraStar Entertainment: Sr. Systems Administrator DUMBO - NYC
Ultrastar Entertainment seeks highly motivated Sr. Systems Administrator. Candidate's primary objective will be to manage internal office IT and Network Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing networks for highly available operations. This is a leadership roll for a growing company who will report directly to VP of Technology and the Chief Information Systems Officer. Responsibilities: · Management of data center, servers and all network functions · Define hardware and software requirements for operation and growth · Interface with equipment and service vendors to negotiate acquisition of assets and service contracts · Provide, update and maintain all infrastructure documentation · Highly available for troubleshooting & disaster recovery · Maintain systems monitoring and alerts · Interface with dev teams to optimize deployed applications · Maintain asset management for internal office and offsite network · Provide leadership and mentoring for Jr. Systems Administrators and Developers Technical Qualifications: · Detailed knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise server; installation, configuration, imaging & optimization · Experience with high availability storage systems, Netscaler appliances and Foundry Network Switches. · Experience with Network design and topography for large web systems · Experience with hardware and application monitoring systems including Nagios · Real world experience managing a data center · Fully understand network requirements for PCI compliance · Working knowledge of Linux Security, web, database and mail servers · 5+ years supporting enterprise database environments (MySQL) · Requires in-depth knowledge implementing encryption techniques ( 3DES, PKI, MD5, SSH, SSL ). · Requires in-depth knowledge of Firewall devices, Proxy Servers, DOS/Intrusion Prevention and Detection ( Snort, IDS ) Professional Qualifications · Candidate should exhibit great attention to detail and be able to work effectively on multiple projects at once · Candidate should have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills · Highly motivated, self-directed, deadline-responsive and able to work effectively under pressure · Excellent project management skills and ability to develop and maintain deadlines This is a full time, on site position.
