UltraStar Entertainment: Production Engineer ( LAMP )
Ultrastar Entertainment seeks highly motivated LAMP Production Engineer. This is a key production roll for a growing company who will report directly to the Director of Product Development and Chief Information Systems Officer. The candidate's primary objective is to field and deliver production requests in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with Content Delivery Systems, Social Networking Applications and user-generated content applications. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing company with a solid growth path and mentorship from a strong group of senior developers. Responsibilities: * Direct the execution of daily operations and production requests * Ownership of CMS platform including custom and 3rd party products. Working within an existing code base, extending it, and developing new applications with it. ยท Ownership and upkeep of code base repository * Develop Interface / functionality enhancements to existing products * Manage a Jr. Developer to assist with production requests * Maintain interface usability standards * Maintain plug-in detection standards based on minimum requirements data * Field escalated bug and troubleshooting requests * Provide support for Streaming Media Technical Qualifications: * Mastery: PHP5, MySQL, XSLT, XML, CSS, JavaScript, HTML * Strong: AJAX, jQuery * Familiarity: MVC-style frameworks, OO methodologies, PHP / MySQL optimization, Code Management and version control, Linux command line, INNO DB engine, caching schemes, * PLUS: experience with Java, Ruby, Jabber / XMPP, web services, mobile/sms apps, desktop apps, Simple Machines BBS Professional Qualifications * Candidate should exhibit great attention to detail and be able to work effectively on multiple projects at once * Candidate should have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills * Highly motivated, self-directed, deadline-responsive and able to work effectively under pressure * Excellent project management skills and ability to develop and maintain deadlines * Posess Vision and Adaptability * Desire to dig in deep and help build the core applications and production tools for the industry leader in the space This is a full time, on site position.
