PHP/Joomla position in Port Washington, NY 3+ months contract
Location: Port Washington, NY
Duration 3 Months+ with high likelihood to extend
This is an on-site position. Remote work will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
* Re-engineering, Designing, implementing and launching highly-visible,
user-facing features for a large traffic site.
* Assist in brainstorming and defining user-facing features.
* Developing features that cater to online gaming and content creation.
Requirements:
* BS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
* 3+ years of software engineering experience.
* Experience developing and designing large web sites (well known web
properties).
* Experience programming in PHP is a must. Experience in Joomla is a must.
* Experience in database development, especially MySQL.
* Experience with PHP frameworks like Zen, CakePHP or Kohana
* Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
