Ammar, i was referring to that same paragraph when i said SVN does not have global revision numbers. Apparently, i misread it... my bad.
Abd, Thanx man, stay tuned for more to come :) I also wish to thank alaa ibrahim for explaining the merge operation (to me, it was an update that didn't conflict. As long as i don't get a C, then all is good :)). I would also like to comment about the lecture in general. Although it went fairly well, and the knowledge share was great, i have to be honest and say that sometime during the lecture i felt it got derailed off its intended tracks. I clearly defined the scope of this lecture as an introduction to svn, the target audience was people who never heard of/used any revision system before. Yet, 30 minutes into the lecture, we were discussing how to mirror changes across multiple branches, whether it is good practice to use the repository as apache webroot and many other topics that were out of scope. The information was great, and i learned a LOT from it, but any person who was in the audience expecting to have a lecture about "what is svn", would clearly be thinking WTF. Therefore, i would like to humbly ask our more experienced audience to contain their enthusiasm and try to stick to the scope of any future lecture, and give other participants a chance to catch up. -- Al-Faisal El-Dajani Phone: +962-7-77 799 781 P.O Box: 140056 11814 Amman, Jordan --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Jolug" group.
