Kefah Issa I assume all the above are welling to be be available on the Feast day to help people conduct the installation. of course, the more the mirier! :-) PLACE AND DATE : =============== As for the date, I would suggest having it on a Saturday; Saturday November 3rd sounds like a good one. We just want to avoid that being in the middle of the exams. so please let us know if it is. This date will also be pending the place; Which I strongly recommend to be JEA and not any specific university ... that is for several obvious reasons. Obada, can you please confirm the availability of a place on JEA by that date? AUDIENCE AND CAMPAIGN : ======================== Most of the audience are expected to be university students. So we need the help of every one who is in a university; a student, supervisor or teacher to spread the word. Can any one volunteer to make a quick design for a brochour that can be placed every where? CD's : ===== Obviously we need CD's, lots of them ;-) I think we are ok with making hand-copies say 300 to 500; divided between ubuntu and kubuntu. any one who can step up to take over this? People will take the CD's with them after having it successfully installed. One thing, I'm thinking of doing; is to prepare a special custom version of Kubuntu (easy to do) that would include all good missing stuff such as drivers, codec's, arabic fonts, good selection of games and apps. This will make it much easier with people who have slow internet connection. Again, this is really exciting, especially that linux is doing best than ever, and for the first time even better than its rival Hasta La Vista ;-) Everyone, please let me know what you think, and if there are any additional things that can be done to make this one of a kind event.
