I hate to say this but after using linux for months I have these comments about the system.
Linux have a lot of problems, here are some: in general linux programs are not friendly. (as if it they were designed to give the user a heart attack) yes it's free. secure. fast. but. in many cases it's useless. and you have to go back to windows. arabic support in Open office: 1- no context numbering (you can only have arabic or hindi numbers). 2- the logical way of writing braces is very weird. 3- when switch from arabic to english the if the final characters are somthing like (;:/,') its printed to left of the text instead of writing it to right of the english text. a lot of windows program don't work with wine. supporting arabic in wine is very poor and the text appears broken. tens of distributions , no simple, logical, friendly solution. crazy fragmentation in applications, interfaces, with alot of very poor application and no single enough solution. the free alternative programs in linux are very poor and really disgusting (I mean it) in most cases. Installing hardware is a nightmare if it's not installed by automatically. 3d support. and multimedia efficiency is very pooooor. So, do I hate linux . of course Noooooooooooo. so what is the solution. (we need more organized, cooperative, brave, work to make linux the no. 1 operating system in the world and to make windows just I history to tell our sons about.
