I can answer this with a different question, Imagine the same, but when I wanted to share it with my friends, I couldn't because the company I work with limits me with a non-free licence.
A thing about these Genius people, usually these people don't care about money, as much as they care about showing it off, I've dealt with a lot of people that are real geeks, they give you the whole application for free, just to prove to you that they are smart. When you are this smart, your ego does more control than your pocket.
