Sci3ntist, you really seem to have an aggressive attitude towards being criticized. Let me try to put it in very clear terms:
Khamis Siksek used linux before most of us got out of diapers, he is the only person alive that I know of that can compute regular expressions in his mind at the speed of lighting. He is an outstanding linux administrator, and an amazing C prgorammer. If you bothered to look at the archives for this group, you would have figured that out in under 2 minutes. Now, to come along and start trolling around, and actually telling him to read up on vim, that is only arrogant and stupid on your part. I find it extremely offensive, but I left it to Khamis to deal it with it as he sees fit. He was EXTREMELY tolerant, and I am amazed at how patient he is. Now that you know who Khamis is, try to show some respect. Most people here are knowledgable about linux in different degrees, and fights break out every now and then. But to go and attack the oldest active member is plain stupid, and does not earn you any points with the community. So, tone down, chill out, and know that being criticized is a second nature in this group. Live with it. PS: What exactly was it that got on your nerves? I re-read the entire thread and can't find anything in his reply that erked you so much. If anything, his reply was more subtle than mine.
