Salam, Steps: 1- Based on my finding from xpdf command running, I looked for the fonts and I downloaded them from this link http://www.fontyukle.com/ara.php?ara=arabic&button=Search 2- created a directory called /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-missing and put them in it
and then opened the file using evince (document viewer in gnome) and it worked fine except for the ArabicTransperant-Bold, where all the titles didn't appear properly, so I used the file called artrbdo.ttf from Issa's site ( trial and error until I found the correct file to use), then everything worked fine. Issa, Thanks Jad, I think having them in the /usr/share/.... is better since they become system wide not user specific, so any user logging in to the system will benifit from those fonts. Natali, we do have our own standards, for that we do not put semicolons where they are needed :-) Regards, 2008/8/22 نتالي سعد <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Regarding the web pages side, this did not solve the problem! > > The reason for this is not Ubuntu nor firefox it is the website developer! > since when I opened the source of one of the URLs already sent to you I > found this in the <style> section: > FONT-FAMILY: Arabic Transparent , Arial , Tahoma, SansSerif > scrollbar-arrow-color: 000080; > When I changed this to > FONT-FAMILY: Arabic Transparent , Arial , Tahoma, > SansSerif;scrollbar-arrow-color: 000080; > What a simple reason and what a ......
