I have been using a tool called Kawa for several years now
(http://www.tek-tools.com). It has a very good debugger in it, and allows jonas
debugging easily. I am not sure what you are looking to do with 'remote
debugging', are you looking to run a client app in the debugger and step through
-- into the ejb beans? debuggers, kawa is very lightweight compared to both VC,
and Jbuilder, with both system requirements and $$.
