"Dry Cleaner from Des Moines" is the only composition on it that reaches
near
to mingus' capability (imho)...with joni's own "Wolf that Lives in Lindsay"
a
brilliant second.

I beg to differ, I think "Sweet Sucker Dance" is one of Joni's masterworks.
She's just beginning to display the jazz prowess which was soon to come to
fruition.
I love the subtle interplay btwn her, Jaco, Herbie, and Wayne.
