Rest eternal grant her, O Lord,
and let light perpetual shine upon her.

I can't claim to be an Aliyah fan but I certainly know her music and the
news of her death, and the others on the plane, is very sad.  She was a
young woman with a lot of talent and a lot of promise who had done some
very good work over a period of time.   Rather akin to the loss of
Richie Valens or Eddie Cochran or Cass Elliot.
