No, it's not supposed to happen like this. My daughter is one year older than 
Aliyah is. There's a mixture of joy that she was able to do what she loved, 
and sadness that her life was cut so short in such a gruesome way. I think 
many of us felt like she should have more time to be here on this earth. She 
was right on the verge of superstardom. Aliyah was scheduled to appear in 
sequels 2 and 3 of the Matrix. I feel the same sadness for Buddy Holly and 
Richie Valens. If I am not mistaken, they were at the same point in their 
careers as well. I know there is a reason for everything. I will just have to 
have faith that one day, I will have the wisdom to know.
