<< Sorry if this was discussed to death seven years ago.>>
Walt, let me also chime in here and say that this is nothing to apologize
for. Like Vince said, we haven't heard YOUR thoughts so all topics become as
new.
<<-- is that the mysterious (to me) Don(ald) Freed (of "Facelift")? >>
Yes it is, and they are no longer "an item".
<< Was he one of the guys seated next to Joni
on that "Special Night" thingy last year? Also, was her daughter there --
one of the young women seated near her that night looked sorta like the one
picture of Kilauren I've seen.>>
I believe that Don WAS there, but the lady you're thinking is Kilauren is
Diana Krall (who has a new CD coming out this month, btw...)
<<In the title song on TtT, who are Sophia and Ana? >>
Sophia Loren had a quote about fame being like riding a tiger, and that's
what Joni was referencing. I forget if we ever discussed who Ana was.
<< Still on TtT, that over-the-shoulder painting of herself with a deer in
the
foreground, people in the distance, opposite "My Best to You" -- could that
have been a peace offering to her mother -- maybe it was/is one of her
favorite songs? Is JM's mom still alive? Her dad?>>
Both Bill & Myrtle Anderson are alive. They were with her last year at the
Mendel exhibit, and some of that footage is available on the JMDL video tree.
You can tell they are very proud of her. She hasn't said that "My Best To
You" was a fave of her folks, but I can't help but think that it was, along
with "Cool Water", the other Sons of the Pioneers song she did.
Thanks for bringing things back to home base.
