Thanks so much for you rspecific replies!
My face is red re: the Kilauren Gibb/Diana Krall mixup. I've got five of
DK's albums, but failed to recognize her -- even though she also gave one of
the more shattering performances of the evening -- still brings me to tears
after many viewings.
So pleased to hear that Joni's parent's are both alive -- nice to think of
four generations in her family, all alive -- and to hear that they are
visibly proud of her.
While I've got you on the line, what is the name of the author of the JM bio
"Shadows and Light", and what year did it come out? I've had a little
trouble finding it, but I haven't hit the local Barnes & Noble yet. Oh, and
wasn't there a book just about her art?
Thanks again Bob -- you amaze me with your knowledge of (apparently) all
things Joni specifically, and musical in general -- and your willingness to
