Mags,
I made a personal commitment when I began to subscribe to this list over a
year and a half
ago, that I would refrain from getting invloved in either a political or
religious discussion- because in these matters, there is never agreement,
and only discord.
But yet, I must speak up on this one. The pictures of Palestinians
celebrating on Sept 11th are VERY clear in my mind. Perhaps they were
filmed in the past, but believe me, those awful celebrations, did indeed
exist. There was an article in todays paper, by AP that stated that Arafat
is in big time damage control - to cover up- and to show to the world that,
this is not happening in Palestine. It is a VERY clear fact, that
Palestinian children, being schooled in Israel, are continually being
taught to hate Jews, to stone them, and kill them.
What the feck is our world coming to when suppossed innocent children are
being instructed to proliferated such hatred?

in my humble opinion, we need to be very careful about believing/ buying
into / reacting to the aforementioned images which depict celebrations in
the street which were supposedly in response to the tragedies of last
Tuesday. ... by this I mean that such images can easily be planted to suit
the needs of the media in further fanning the flames. Who knows when those
celebrations really took place and in what honour. And who knows what
bullshit is being fed over there about the US et al. Just a few thoughts on
this monday eve.
