I know there have been anti-Arab and anti-Muslim incidents around the
country, and it sucks, but I'm heartened that our leaders are remember to
counsel tolerance and pointing out the peaceful precepts of Islam. After
Pearl Harbor, did anyone tell us not to hate Japanese-Americans? I don't
know, but I'm guessing that anti-Japanese hatred was socially acceptable in
a way that anti-Arab hatred is not acceptable today. So, maybe our country,
with its share of regrettable lapses, has actually made some progress over
the years.

I endorse eating at foreign restaurants as a form of social protest! And I
plan to heed Rudy G's plea to see more Broadway plays.
