Hey guys, tired of those bands that sound like typewriters? Check these guys out, do yourself a favor. It's kind of hard to classify them, so visit their site www.groovelily.com and hear for yourself. Valerie Vigoda, the founder of the band is an electric violinist, lush vocalist. Vigoda considers the music to be eclectic rock bnb roll, described as btoo cool for words,b by The Statebs Michael Miller. As a developing musician, she trained at a classical conservatory. bI used to fear and dread playing,b she says. Then she discovered the free-flowing, wired sound of the electric violin. Today, a custom-made, six-stringed, flying V-shaped, bViperb violin allows her to play wildly and sing simultaneously. She's toured as a back-up musician for Cyndi Lauper and Joe Jackson. Her husband Brendan is the keyboardist/singer, co-writer. They live in a tan motor home and spend most of their time touring. Check out to see when they might be in you area, you won't be disappointed, trust me. They're awesome!
