I can't explain it. They changed the name of The Madness of George IV to The Madness of King George because they thought their audience would think that it meant it was the 4th sequel. they have have also called Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone because they felt 'Philosopher' would not be undertood. Seems to me Hollywood does not rate the American intelligence, which says more about Hollywood than it does Americans.
