I have seen this woman mentioned frequently here. I have only seen her a couple of times, on television, and thought she did not have much of a talent for singing. It is hard for me to explain but I have found most of the singers, at least the popular ones that I have had the misfortune to hear, again on television, these days are not singing in a style that is natural. They do something odd with their voices, that I cannot explain into words, and I cannot stand to listen. I do like soul music and am especially fond of r and b of the sixties and seventies. My nephew was listening to Jewel and I told him that she sounded like a very bad Joni imitation. A synthetic Joni. He didn't understand but I find this woman very weak.
