Wally, you are so cruel. But I will forgive you. I made my way to town for
essentials. Left my car running at the post office while I went inside.
The door jammed from the ice. After 45 minutes of standing outside trying
to get the damn thing open, in the north wind and falling sleet, I was in
dire straits. The legendary helpful and friendly Texans, don't believe it,
passed me by and offered no help. I then noticed the passenger window that
I had left cracked to let the cigarette smoke out. Just enough to pass
something through. Finally found a good samaritan with a yardstick and got
inside the damn thing. Frozen solid I was at that point. Then off to buy
groceries. 30 minute wait in line. Slid back home. Heater malfunctioning,
leaking roof, parents water frozen up, power lines sagging (electricity goes
off around here often), dogs and cats cold as shit with nowhere to put them.
Encapsulated in a white world of gray skies and frigid cold. I hate
winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will live vicariously and take a trip to that boulevard where you walk
and pretend.
Might as well laugh about it. I am trying. hahahha. Thanks for the
visual.

Mack.
