I saw Renaldo & Clara many years back when I was in art school and I recall with great clarity when Joni appeared. Way down upon the swoonage river. It was around the time when I think she looked her best, IMHO. People (i.e. those endeared by the pissing, ooops, passing punk craze) thought we were nuts sitting through what had been deemed a crap self-indulgent four-hour home-made hippy movie. I was a bigger Dylan fan than I was of Joni in those days and the concert performances of Dylan with the white face singing Isis and TUIBlue et al were just what the psychiatrist ordered. I would love to get a hold of R&C to see why I got so Joanne Worle-e-e-e-ey about it way back then. I can't imagine it's readily available. Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to Bob.
